Tourism Brand Manager

The Goshen County Lodging Tax Board seeks a Brand Manager to promote vacation and travel into and through Goshen County.  The Brand Manager will provide the overall tourism brand marketing for Goshen County, Wyoming.  They will be the single point of contact for implementing the Goshen County tourism marketing strategies, advertising and promotion.  They will work closely with the Goshen County Chamber of Commerce and Goshen Economic Development. This position will work a flexible schedule of 30 hours per week.


Marketing and Advertising

  • Manage all market research, advertising, promotion, new product development, and activities

  • Implement a marketing strategy to effectively reach customers, communicate the product’s value proposition, and influence product purchases following the current Tourism Marketing Plan

  • Implement the current Digital Strategy Plan as provided

  • Expand the tourism database of relevant contacts for promotional and editorial communication and include local and regional references for marketing collateral and event information distribution

  • Maintain and update the current Goshen County tourism website, www.GoGoshen.net

  • Maintain and update all Goshen County tourism social media accounts

  • Work with the Goshen County Chamber of Commerce/ community to develop and grow destination events for Goshen County

Promotion/Public Relations

  • Research and write editorials (quarterly) to be utilized for search engine optimization and possible coverage (local/regional) for magazines, papers, blogs, and social media outlets.  Include itineraries of things to do in Goshen County for short- and long-term stays

  • Marketing and advertising:  implement the current tourism marketing plan, implement the current digital strategy plan, and maintain and create graphic design content

  • Create a quarterly electronic Goshen County Events Guide highlighting feature events

  • Create quarterly table tents highlighting featured events


  • Develop and maintain relationships with area tourism businesses

  • Enhance Tourism Marketing and bi-monthly networking meetings of local/state tourism stakeholders to draw a larger audience and provide attendees with valuable information, networking opportunities, and leadership on destination marketing


  • Provide monthly reports to the Goshen County Lodging Tax board of directors with work product documentation (including examples and quantifiable data) and invoice submittal

  • Answering phone calls and mailing tourism-related inquiries

  • Maintaining office hours year-round to assist walk-in visitors

  • Provide Board & fiscal administration

  • Administration of grant program

  • Demonstrated computer skills and software proficiencies, i.e., Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, database management, QuickBooks

  • Working knowledge of the internet

  • Research skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

  • Two years of experience in customer service, marketing, or related field



Physical Work Demands

  • Business attire required

  • Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods

  • Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily

  • Able to perform general office activities: copying, filing, delivering, and using the telephone

  • Able to lift 25 pounds occasionally


Mental Work Demands

  • Regular and on-time attendance

  • Flexibility to accommodate the varying schedule, typically 30 hours per week, with some early morning or evening meetings

  • Ability to adjust to the fast-paced work environment and be responsive to the needs of clients and co-workers

  • Work with others

  • Verbal contact with others

  • Occasional travel by conventional means, including motor vehicles and the like, within the county and to other locations in the state/region as required


  • Salary range $20-$30/hour

  • Negotiable upon experience level
