EWC Community Education announces Wings over the Rockies Air and Space Museum bus trip

Tuesday, June 04, 2019

The Community Education office at Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington, has scheduled a bus trip to see the Wings over the Rockies Air and Space Museum on Saturday, June 8, 2019.

In recognition of the 50th anniversary of the July 20, 1969 Apollo lunar landing, we will be traveling to the Air and Space Museum located on the former home of the Lowry Air Force Base.

The museum features over fifty iconic aircraft and the most realistic flight simulators in Colorado. This particular date to visit Wings over the Rockies was selected because it is “Cockpit Demo Day”. Kids and adults can climb aboard select aircraft and get a pilot’s perspective of the instruments and controls. After a short guided tour you will have the opportunity to explore the museum exhibits which include information on the Apollo Missions and the Titan Missile Project.

Following our tour of the museum we will travel a short distance and have a buffet luncheon at Cinzetti’s, which is included in your ticket price. You don’t want to miss out on this trip. What a great family outing.

The cost of this trip is $60. The bus will leave EWC at 6:30 am and return around 6:30 pm.
