Our first summer street event is just a few days away!  


The (only) paved street (Laramie Ave.) will be closed around 4 p.m. between Hwy 26 and Custer Street. Set up is anytime after 4 p.m. Check in with Annette who will be set up on Laramie Ave. in front of the small white building across from the antique store. If you haven't pre-paid, that's fine, Annette will sort you out.


Weston Wineries will be at Vickie's Saloon doing a wine tasting starting at 5 p.m. Because they are starting at 5 p.m. instead of 5:30 p.m. everyone may start at 5 p.m. 


The Fiddlers will also be on hand. The Haystack Hills Market (convenience & gift store) will be grilling hotdogs and hamburgers.

At each event we are looking to create a mini fair-like atmosphere with live music, vendors like you, food and anything else we can come up with. With a bit of luck we will have at least two street dances. This is tentative, but as you can see, we are working hard to create events to draw as many visitors as possible.


October will be a different sort of affair and we are still working out how it could work. Your thoughts are needed as we go through the summer on how our successful, child-centered Halloween event could be expanded to include you.


Event Schedule and vendor commitment hours*

Friday, June 29, 5:00 – 7 p.m.* 

Friday, July 27, 5:30 – 7 p.m.

Friday, August 31, 5:30 – 7 p.m. 

Friday, September 285 – 6:30 p.m. (In case of inclement weather, events will be held in the  Greater Fort Laramie Community Center)

Saturday, October 27, time to be determined (probably 10 a.m. - 3p.m.), Greater Fort Laramie Community Center


*More community events over the late fall and winter are being planned as well. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves! Not all will be appropriate for vendors, but wow, if last year was any indication of the fun to be had, this year will be amazing.


Vendor Guidelines

All items are to be homemade, home produce, or home grown.

Vendors commit to remain on premise and in operation for the hours stated above in the Event Schedule. If the vendor sells out before the contract time they are welcome to leave. If the vendor wishes to stay beyond the contract time they are certainly welcome to do so!

All vendors are subject to and in accordance with state and local regulations, including sales tax and food safety requirements. The Town of Fort Laramie and it’s representatives are not responsible for enforcement or compliance of said regulations. 

Vendors may set up in the hour proceeding the event (or by special arrangement). But no sales are to be made before the advertised start time. 

Vendor set up will continue to be in a high traffic and visible area. Most likely at the log cabin Information Center on U.S. Highway 26. 


Vendor Table Fees

$6 per event or $25 for the season (June – October 2018) on dates listed in the Event Schedule.

Payable to: Town of Fort Laramie by check, cash or credit card. 

Call Kim Craft at the town hall to make a credit card payment (307) 837-2711. Send check to P. O. Box 177, Fort Laramie, Wyoming 82212 or just pay on the day of the event!



The Town of Fort Laramie will promote the events to the best of their ability using posters, radio, social media and other opportunities as they present themselves. Due to finical constraints, marketing will be done with return on investment consideration. Vendors are welcome to, and encouraged to, promote themselves and the events through their regular marketing channels.
