Summer Season Begins at Fort Laramie National Historic Site

Ft. Laramie, WY. – Memorial Day weekend marks the beginning of Fort Laramie National Historic Site’s summer season, featuring daily talks, living history demonstrations, and special events throughout the season. The Fort begins its summer hours on May 26, 2018. The park’s historic grounds and buildings will be open from dawn to dusk each day. The Visitor Center will be open from 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. The extended hours of operation will continue through Labor Day.

Join Fort Laramie NHS in opening the summer season on Memorial Day Monday, May 28 as it preserves the many stories of the past and present in a National Moment of Remembrance. At noon, staff and visitors will gather at the historic flagpole as park personnel dressed in period military uniforms raise the flag to full staff.

Admission to the park and all events is free, so bring out the family and visit Fort Laramie National Historic Site this summer.
