A legacy of hunting

Bird hunting is a wonderful Wyoming pastime that continues to be passed on to younger generations, thanks to events like the Tom Harpstreith Memorial Youth Hunt.
Harpstreith’s friends and family organize the annual event in Torrington. Harpstreith’s father instilled him with a passion for hunting. Now future generations of hunters are learning to love the sport at this event held in his name.
During the event, hunting guides and volunteers take youth out for a day of hunting with is followed by a lunch and awards ceremony. The hunt is free for youth aged 10-18 with Hunter’s Safety Cards.
