People living in rural areas often experience barriers in accessing to quality health care. Not so in Torrington, Wyoming.
The Community Hospital in Torrington is a quality facility with some of the latest healthcare technology and staff that are invested in creating a first rate patient experience. The facility opened in 1977 as a critical access hospital and provides medical care to residents in southeast Wyoming and bordering Nebraska communities.
The Banner Health hospital features cutting-edge technology, such as digital mammography to detect breast cancer in early stages, a Telestroke program to give stroke patients the fastest care possible and an intelligent OB program designed to reduce complications during labor and delivery. The hospital also built a state-of-the-art emergency department in 2010.
