Seasonal Hours Begin at Fort Laramie National Historic Site
(Fort Laramie, WY) Beginning September 5, 2017 Fort Laramie National Historic Site’s Visitor Center will be open from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. The hours for the park’s historic grounds will remain at sunrise to sunset each day. The fall/winter seasonal hours of operation for the Visitor Center will continue through Memorial Day 2018.
Labor Day marks the end of a successful summer season at Fort Laramie National Historic Site for 2017. Highlights of the summer abound and visitors from across the country and around the world made life-long connections with the Fort’s natural and cultural resources. This year’s activities were capped off on August 21 with the 2017 Great American Eclipse, one of nature’s greatest spectacles. There was no better way to celebrate a successful season than with this once-in-a-lifetime celestial event, which was evident from the deluge of enthusiastic visitor comments received afterward through both social media and the postal service. Thank you for your support of Fort Laramie National Historic Site.
