Building Community in Fort Laramie

Monday, May 08, 2017

Community centers are more than gathering places. They offer an opportunity to socialize and build community awareness and pride. They can be tailored to meet community needs, serving a variety of functions, including providing a venue for business meetings, relaxation, education and entertainment.

Fort Laramie is fortunate to have a newly renovated community center. The Pioneer Community Center features a computer training lab, a used bookstore, a conference meeting room and private office suites. The Community Hall seats 300+ for private or public events. Other features include a theater stage, a commercial kitchen and a private lounge.

The center hosts several annual events for the public. The Pioneer Center Craft and Artisan Show is coming up in June. The show features hand-made wood furniture, fiber crafts, artwork and more.
